0% Car Loans
0% Car Loans
0% car loans are fairly unusual and are only available to people with very good credit histories. More often than not, 0% car loans are only 0% for a limited period, and then the APR goes to a much higher standard rate, so you should make sure you read the small print on any 0% car loans deal before taking the plunge. There are some 0% car loans than remain at 0%, usually attached to a car dealer rather than a finance company, but they will generally:
- Require a perfect credit history – only about 5% of car buyers will qualify
- Be over a very short term – usually just 2 years – which makes repayments high
- Limit you to a smaller choice of makes and model
- The price of the car is often increased to cover the cost, almost negating the 0% deal
