Description of Understanding Eminis
The arrival of the E-mini markets has led to an explosion of trading interest in these fascinating trading vehicles. Huge legions of traders are involved in the action, but until now they have never had a book available to them that deals specifically with trading in E-minis, and techniques and methods that will help them to become more effective and profitable traders.

If you are involved in or considering trading E-minis, you'll find this new book valuable reading.

The computer age and the information highway called the "Internet" have allowed day traders to compete with the floor traders at the future exchanges. In the past floor traders have dominated over on-line investors by not paying commissions, having immediate access to prices, and being able to sense the mood of the trading pits. Today, this advantage is diminishing with discount brokers and the ability to send orders directly to the floor in many future markets. The playing field is being leveled with the introduction of the E-MINI contracts in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 index, which results in tremendous liquidity and volatility (movement). A trader needs liquidity to enter and exit positions with ease and volatility to guarantee that the trading vehicle will move enough to make money.

Unfortunately most individuals who trade futures will lose money. Professionals who have been successful in any other business will often start trading futures and think this is an easy game to make money. They soon watch their trading accounts wither away to nothing. The excitement and bright lights of trading will often overshadow the possibility of downside risk. For every winner in the futures market, there has to be a loser. This is unlike rising prices in the stock market, where many individuals can become richer. If there are so many losers, why risk your hard earned capital on a small chance of success? Traders who follow a trading plan, control risk, understand leverage and control their emotions can beat the odds.

This book is for the traders who want to start out with a better understanding of the markets and learn how to profit from short-term price fluctuations in a bull or bear market. Don't be lured into the idea that it is easy for beginners to make money at first. There is no such thing as a free lunch on Wall Street. The markets give a final verdict every trading day at the close. This verdict will not go in your favor if you enter the trading battle unprepared. Traders need to realize that skill and success in the markets is not inherited, but acquired through hard work, education, patience, and emotional discipline. We hope this book will help you to become a better trader and not a gambler.
