Alliance & Leicester is giving new customers three 'premier' promises as part of its new Premier Switching Service.
The bank has promised new customers thinking of switching to A&L it will not take overdraft charges or fees, will match the value of their existing overdraft and will give all new Premier customers a minimum overdraft of £250.
Current accounts manager at Alliance & Leicester, Simon Ripton, said: "Customers can switch with confidence in the knowledge that we will match their existing overdraft.
"This will allow them to cover their household bills during switching and because of our market leading zero per cent introductory overdraft rate we won’t charge them any interest."
A survey by the bank found over a third of Brits would switch from their existing bank to a better current account deal if they were guaranteed "against things going wrong".
Over a quarter said they would switch if their new bank could match their existing overdraft.
A new study by MoneyExpert.com found Brits are the most dissatisfied with their current account than any other financial product.
