Barclays launches Welsh-speaking service

01 April 2005
One of the Big Four high street bank has launched a customer banking service in Welsh.

The new phone service will be offered to both personal and business customers across Wales who prefer to use the Welsh language for their banking needs.

Barclays has more than 165 branches in Wales and said that the new service builds on current bilingual services, including the publication of core product literature in both languages.

The Welsh line is not restricted to customers from the land of the daffodil, however - customers and business clients from England can also take advantage of the service by calling the special number.
