Finance directors from across the UK have shown their confidence in Lloyds TSB Corporate, voting it Bank of the Year at an awards ceremony.
The first Finance Directors' Excellence Awards, hosted by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Real Finance, gave Lloyds TSB the accolade over rivals Barclays, HBOS, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Finance directors were asked to rate their levels of satisfaction with the different providers based on their real experiences.
In the banking category, they were asked to bear in mind the quality of service provided by their main bank and the degree to which their financial manager appeared to understand their commercial concerns.
"This award demonstrates the success of our relationship strategy," said Diana Brightmore-Armour, managing director of Lloyds TSB Corporate.
"Finance directors have given us a huge vote of confidence and the credibility that comes with this will further enhance our growing reputation in the corporate marketplace."
Other winners included KPMG, which picked up Auditor of the Year, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), which was voted Adviser of the Year.Click here to compare business banking accounts.
