RBS unveils easier, cheaper travel money services

04 October 2006
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has announced the introduction of two new methods of ordering travel money to add convenience for its customers.

In addition to the traditional methods of ordering in-branch, RBS has now set up online and telephone ordering of foreign currency or travellers' cheques, all of which will be commission-free.

The new services will be available to non-customers of RBS as well as those that bank with the organisation and delivery of the travel money can be made to a customer's home or nearest branch. Orders of over £500 will be delivered free of charge.

"The Royal Bank of Scotland offers 73 different currencies and nine types of travellers' cheques - one of the widest selections available in the UK," said Doug Gowan, head of global travel money services for RBS.

"With our new online and telephone ordering channels, planning your holiday is just that much easier."
