AA Insurance offers SME's cover

10 January 2006
AA can now manage not only car and home insurance but also small and medium sized (SME) business cover.

AA Insurance has recently launched a range of insurance policies for smaller businesses, underwritten by AXA Insurance.

The packages on offer include business contents and stock, business interruption, public, product and employers' liability and legal expenses either combined or stand-alone.

There is also buildings cover, theft by employees and goods in transit on offer.

Cover is being offered to business ranging from home-based sole traders to multi million pound ventures.

John Close, general manager of AA Insurance said the AA brand is trusted by nearly 13 million roadside customers and would be highly valued in the SME industry.

"Our research shows that AA Insurance would be a natural choice for successful small or medium-sized businesses looking for commercial insurance," he said.

"Provided premiums are competitive, SME owners often prefer to place their personal and commercial insurances with one provider. We can now offer that service," he added.

AA Insurance plans to focus the SME policies on small hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and pubs – sectors with which AA already has long-standing connections through its guide books.
