Direct Line home insurance offers a third off for autumn

02 October 2009 / by Rachael Stiles

Householders can protect their homes for less this autumn, because Direct Line home insurance is offering customers a third off their premiums.

New customers who buy Direct Line contents and buildings insurance together by November 30 2009 will save a third off the price of a 12 month policy.

As the nights draw in, thieves can operate under the cover of darkness, so Direct Line is offering the discount on its home insurance to help households "save money and still get protection for their home and possessions."

Commenting on the special offer, Andrew Lowe, head of Direct Line home insurance, said: "With summer holidays just gone and the Christmas season coming up quickly, everyone is looking for a chance to save some money.

"With Direct Line's discount on home insurance, customers could save money while still feeling safe in the knowledge that they are protecting their home and possessions by taking out cover with a dependable, well-known insurer."

The offer is available to those customers taking out a 12 month contract for contents and buildings insurance, and applicants will receive the discount whether they pay the full premium upfront or choose to pay by monthly installments.

Applicants must get a quote by November 30 2009, and the offer will be valid for 90 days after from the date they get a quote.

Customers can also save a further 25 per cent when they buy Direct Line home insurance online.
