Norwich Union insurance signs BMW deal

25 January 2005
Norwich Union Insurance has signed a deal with BMW.

The agreement means BMW Original Equipment (OE) parts will be used on any BMW repairs for insurance claims underwritten by Norwich Union.

Norwich Union, the UK's largest insurer, already covers a large number of BMW customers with its motor insurance policies.

BMW's Tony Booth welcomed the news: "This agreement is a significant step forward because it demonstrates that two major players in the body shop sector can work together to bring about change which supports both parties' long-term business objectives."

The head of motor & legal supply chain, Tom Spink, was also upbeat about the new deal.

He said: "We are delighted that this agreement has cemented a very strong, long-term working relationship from which we can build future business for both parties."
