Norwich and Peterborough eases car insurance headache

25 August 2005
Aware that motorists may be overwhelmed by the number of car insurance deals on the market, Norwich and Peterborough Insurance Brokers (NPIB) have issued guidance for drivers looking for the best deal.

According to NPIB, motorists could save up to £119 if their annual mileage is less than 8,000 miles, and naming additional drivers rather than insuring for 'any driver' could save an extra £179.

Taking a 'Pass Plus' exam with the DVLA could also save recently-qualified drivers a whopping £400 on their annual premium, the insurance broker has revealed.

For those who like to venture further afield, choosing an insurer that automatically provides cover for European driving could also help reduce their costs, NPIB claims.

Steve Kendall, personal lines director at NPIB, commented: "Our tips are designed to help get the lowest price without the loss of cover."

Mr Kendall emphasised that drivers should not automatically opt for the cheapest deal but make sure that their policy covers them for every eventuality.
