Upsurge in car insurance claims expected by Privilege

31 January 2005 / by None
Privilege insurance has warned that January 28th is an accident hotspot.

Last year Privilege saw its highest volume of claim calls of any day of the year, with over two and a half times the average number of customers contacting the company.

While in 2004 this was attributed to severe weather, similar conditions are forecast for this week and Privilege is expecting another surge in claims.

Because of this the insurer is reminding customers to take some simple steps when making car insurance claims.

"Accidents can occur no matter how safe a driver you are, so it makes sense to have a simple procedure to follow should the worst happen,” said Privilege Insurance managing director, Ian Parker.

He added: "By remembering the key details to take at the scene of the accident, motorists can save time and stress when making a claim during what is a busy time for insurers."
