'Good demand' for income producing plans

Barclays Wealth has said there is "demand" for income-producing plans as they prepare to launch their own investment plan with growth and income options.

The package is to launch on January 18th and will offer investors an income of 7.25 per cent per annum or 1.8 per cent per quarter.

Investors can see a return of up to 50 per cent at maturity as part of the plan's growth option.

Commenting on the demand, Lisa Chaudhuri from Barclays Wealth said: "There is clear need for products that offer a good level of regular income with a quantifiable risk/reward profile."

She went on to say that they strive to offer independent financial advisors products that they "understand and trust" and is confident that this latest issue will prove popular.
