Bradford & Bingley launches 5.5% eSavings account

Bradford & Bingley has announced the launch of a new internet-only savings account with a rate of 5.25 per cent gross pa, plus an initial launch bonus of 0.25 per cent for the first six months.

The building society claims the new account offers the best internet no-notice savings rate on the market.

The eSavings account features annual gross interest rate guaranteed to at least match the Bank of England Base Rate until December 31s 2005, unlimited penalty-free and notice-free withdrawals, annual or monthly interest options and the service is available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The account has a minimum opening balance of £1,000 and a maximum investment limit of £2,000,000.
