Child Trust Fund can help your child realise her dream

16 March 2005
Many children dream of being doctors, ballerinas or astronauts, and a Child Trust Fund can make those dreams a reality.

Research by the financial services provider Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) found that many of today's children already have a specific career in mind.

Doctors, fire fighters, soldiers, nurses and pilots were all professions dreamed of by the 7,262 children aged between seven and 16 interviewed by the CIS.

The ethical stakeholder Child Trust Fund recently launched by the CIS, the first of its kind in the UK, can help give children a head-start in launching their careers as they get older.

"The Child Trust Fund initiative will give young people a head-start into their adult lives, whatever path they decide to take, safe in the knowledge that their funds placed with CIS are invested in an ethical manner," said Martin Clarke, director of life and savings with the CIS.

Linked with the Children's Mutual, the UK's only children's savings specialist, the ethical Child Trust Fund conforms to the Sandler stakeholder suite of products, and invests funds in the ethical CIS FTSE4Good Tracker Trust.
