FSA to decide on mortgages and general insurance

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) announced that its powers will be extended to include compulsory regulation of mortgage lending and
general insurance sales and administration.

The new regulations require insurance intermediaries to have professional indemnity insurance cover of a minimum of one million Euro per claim, or to have a comparable guarantee.
