History: Operated by Time Warner, AOL LLC is a US-based media company. The firm is currently moving its headquarters from Virginia to New York. Its most recent product launch was the AOL Desktop for Mac Beta in September 2007, although AOL services date back to 1989. AOL offers a variety of products and services such as broadband internet and telephone deals, which can be paid for separately or as part of a package. The company has also partnered with anti-virus company, McAfee, to provide online security software for Windows users.

AOL Wireless Broadband: With AOL Wireless Broadband the customer receives a free wireless router and has access to download speeds of up to 8Mbps. Usage allowance is up to 10GB and online discounts often apply when signing up. Connection is free and AOL offers 24-hour support. Its Talk Evenings and Weekends telephone package can currently be added free of charge with AOL Wireless Broadband.

AOL Wireless Broadband Plus: The AOL Wireless Broadband Plus package is similar to its regular wireless service, although it allows up to 40GB in usage allowance. More telephone packages are also offered with AOL Wireless Broadband Plus, including AOL Talk Unlimited.

AOL Talk: AOL offers several Talk deals, which customers can tailor to their individual needs. Its AOL Talk Unlimited package provides free calls to UK landlines (starting 01 and 02) for any length of time, day or night. Broadband customers can pay a little extra to get AOL Talk Evenings and Weekends International, which will allow them to call landlines in 30 countries across the globe including the USA and Australia in the evening and at weekends. Its Talk Unlimited International is similar but can be used 24 hours a day.
