A&L: £50 for current account persuasion
03/04/2007

Savers keen to incubate a little nest for extra egg purchasing power this Easter could do worse than recommend a friend to Alliance & Leicester's current account.
The original customer and the new joiner will both receive £50 throughout April, while the first 20,000 current account customers to register and use the bank's mobile banking service will have £10 credited to their account.
Mobile banking enables customers to check account details on the move wherever they are in the world.
Customers entering and looking at account details using a mobile phone are protected by a secure password, while the confidential details keyed in and viewed are automatically deleted from the handset afterwards, say Alliance & Leicester.
Nevertheless, some customers may remain hesitant about mobile banking, particularly in the aftermath of revelations that online banking security is often weaker than hoped.
Online banking fraud rose by 44 per cent to hit £33.5 million in 2006, according to the latest Apacs figures.
