If you have a good credit history there is often no need to deal with a specialist car finance company if you are looking to borrow up to £25,000 with a repayment term no more than 10 years. Most leading high street lenders will provide car finance at competitive rates of interest if you credit history is acceptable.
A more specialist car finance company may be required for loans of £25k or over or if you wish to repay the loan over 10 years. If you have a less than perfect history most high street lenders particularly if you are not a homeowner will not offer finance.
