charge card

A plastic payment card enabling the holder to obtain goods and services without the requirement to pay cash. Accounts are normally submitted to the card holder monthly and must be settled in full. In addition to obtaining goods, the charge card can be used to obtain cash. Examples of charge cards are American Express, Diners Club and a number of gold cards.
