Crystal Prepaid Mastercard

The Crystal Prepaid Mastercard, issued by Newcastle Building Society, can be used anywhere the Mastercard symbol is displayed, for example in shops, in restaurants and online. Users of the Crystal Prepaid Mastercard can choose how much money they would like to top the card up with and are then free to use it for purchases up to that limit. Topping up the Crystal Prepaid Mastercard is straightforward and versatile, you can:

Top up online or by SMS
Use retail outlets to top up the card
Top up using a bank account
Make up to five top-ups per day
Check your card balance and recent transactions online

With the Crystal Prepaid Mastercard you can pay in between £10 and £3,000 at a time and withdraw a maximum of £500 from a cash machine. Funds are usually available within minutes of topping up and the maximum daily purchase is £6,000. Load fees apply each time the card is topped up and transactions will be declined if there are insufficient funds on the card when a purchase is made. It is worth noting that the Crystal Prepaid Mastercard:

Is not a credit card
Is not linked to a bank account so will not incur interest
Is only available to UK residents aged 18 or over
