The Samsung S5550 (also known as Shark 2) is one of three lower-mid range phones introduced by Samsung for 2010. The S5550 is the top of the trio with a compact and lightweight slider design. The AMOLED screen measures 2.2 inches, which is relatively small, but if you are just after an easy to use, no nonsense handset with useful features then the S5550 is ideal.
On the connectivity front the S5550 comes with 3G, HSDPA, EDGE and Bluetooth. It has email support, instant messaging and internet browsing. There is a decent 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, face and smile detection, wide dynamic range and video record. The Samsung S5550 has 100MB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 8GB with a microSD card. The Shark 2 also features an FM radio, MP3 player, document viewer and Google Maps.
