If you are in debt, counselling is a good way to help you decide the best action to take. Debt can be the root cause of emotional problems and account for a large percentage of stress cases seen by doctors every year.
Debt counselling is an optional service provided by national charitable organisations and government bodies to help individuals who are struggling with their finances to improve their outlook and help motivate them to take charge of their debt. Counselling will typically be undertaken at an advice centre but some services will visit your home.
If you are struggling with your day to day finances or if you are at risk of losing your home or assets, debt counselling could benefit you.
