Deferred Pensions
Impartial advice on deferred pensions...
Deferred pensions is a term given to those members of occupational schemes who no longer work for that particular employer.
Many people use the term “frozen pensions”, but of course the pensions are not frozen at all and will continue benefit from investment returns or increases in “notional salary” until retirement.
Many thousands of people have one or more deferred pension and more often than not, these are forgotten about until retirement.
However, it is just as important to review these as it is your current pension to ensure that the types of schemes and, if appropriate, the types of investments, continue to meet your needs.
The Fair Investment Pensions Service may be able to help you.
