The following is a brief explanation of their available account types:

  • Fixed Term Business Deposits, requiring a minimum deposit of £50,000, these accounts provide customers with a guaranteed fixed growth rate for their savings
  • LIBOR Plus Deposit Accounts, that provide customers with daily tracked rates with an additional premium of 0.5%
  • Corporate Reserve Accounts, that come with a choice between annual or monthly interest payments but will require a 30 day notice period before any withdrawals
  • Business High 5 Accounts, that have high interest rates that are set by the independent Moneyfacts, paying the average of the 5 highest rates on the market
  • Business Cheque Accounts, that have consistent interest rates and facilities for salary payments of up to 80 monthly transactions

Broadly speaking, Investec business savings accounts can also be divided into two basic categories:

Deposit Accounts that have very competitive interest rates, but may require customers to wait for a minimum period before money can be withdrawn.

Fixed Term Accounts that offer guaranteed fixed rates of interest, but will usually require customers to deposit a minimum amount before any money can be accessed.

The majority of the business savings accounts that are offered by Investec also come with online banking facilities, providing customers with the freedom to access their money without having to visit their branch directly.
