Investing in Gold Funds

The Fair Investment ISA and Investment Account has several options for investing in gold funds, including managed funds, and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) that hold gold or track the price of gold.

Gold is often seen as a defensive investment option when other assets, such as equities, are believed to carry a higher level of risk. The price of gold can rise independently of other market conditions, but can be volatile and may fall as well as rise. ETFs may not be suitable for all investors.
