New investment statement service launched

A new statement service that aims to provide clients with information to make sense of their investments has been introduced.
The Edward Jones At-A-Glance statement is designed to give investors a straightforward overview of their activity in accordance with Edward Jones' simple approach to investment advice.
Information that the statement will make available includes an account balance, a summary of assets, all recent activity and investment performance.
Commenting on the importance of clear information for its investors, Tim Kirley, head of Edward Jones in the UK said: "Our experience indicates that transparency and clarity around financial statements has a very positive effect on people's attitude towards investing."
He added that trust is a crucial factor when dealing with investment opportunities and that such a statement will be intrinsic to "nurturing" that trust in their customers.
Elsewhere, Edward Jones has said that investors should not be put off investing despite the recent sub-prime crisis.
