Virgin Money reveals holiday loans could bring love

As the famous faces check in to Celebrity Love Island for the next five weeks, Virgin Money reveals that British singles looking for love should head for the Med - where their holiday loans will be money well spent.
According to Virgin Money Travel Insurance, Mediterranean holidays are off the scale when it comes to finding a holiday romance, attracting thousands of single British travellers each year.
France is the choice du jour for young singles, attracting 519,000 unattached visitors last year, whilst mainland Spain came second with 456,000.
Your holiday loan would also be well invested in a trip to Italy, Greece or Turkey if you're looking for love.
"Choosing your destination carefully can seriously improve your chances of a holiday romance," said Jason Wyer-Smith from Virgin Money Travel Insurance.
"According to our research, pulling could be twice as hard in Cyprus than in Turkey so for a slightly longer flight you'll more than double your prospects of finding a partner."
If you're determined to leave the delights of the Mediterranean behind and head further afield, the USA or Asia would be a good choice - those areas both attracted about 26 per cent of all single British holidaymakers.
