Learn more about money funds...
Money funds, also known as money market funds, are a type of collective investment which invest predominately in cash assets such as bank deposits, certificates of deposits, and very short-term fixed interest securities.
As cash is considered a low-risk investment, the investment returns achieved by money funds tend to be lower than that of higher risk investments.
Whilst money funds may not deliver comparatively high returns over the long-term, as they are relatively low-risk they are a popular short-term investment solution for investors.
