Skipton offers mortgage application tracker

Borrowers and brokers wishing to track the progress of a mortgage application are now able to do so online.
Skipton Building Society is providing the service through its website.
Borrowers or brokers simply enter their account number and postcode to access details of what stage their mortgage application is at.
The building society says that feedback for the new service has been extremely positive as applicants appreciate the ability to check their status without having to telephone.
