Natwest ISAs

Natwest ISAsNatwest ISAs

Natwest ISAs cover the full range of tax free ISAs available on the market. You can invest:

  • £3,600 in a Cash ISA
  • £7,200 in a Stocks and Shares ISA

With Cash Natwest ISAs, you can start a tax-free instant access savings account with as little as £1, investing up to £3,600 per tax year. Natwest offers two options for its Stocks and Shares ISAs:

  • Investment Funds ISA: Your investment is invested in stocks and shares by a Natwest ISA manager. With a stocks and shares ISA, there is potential for your money to grow faster than it would in a savings account or a cash ISA, but there are also risks involved – stocks and shares go up and down, so there is a chance you will not get your full investment back.
  • NatWest BrokerLine Self-Select ISA: This has the same benefits and risks as the Investment Funds ISAs, but you are in charge of your own investments. The ISA allows you to invest in UK and certain international shares with trading costing from £15 per deal.  This type of ISA is likely to carry a higher degree of investment risk due to the fact that it may only contain one or two different shares.

You may have both types of Natwest ISA, as long as you do not exceed your £7,200 limit, and of that limit, that you do not invest more than £3,600 in cash.

Please bear in mind that:
Investment ISAs are designed as medium to long term investments, for example at least five years.
The value of your investment and the level of any income received from it can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed and you may not get back the amount of your original investment.
The tax efficiency of ISAs is based on current tax law and there is no guarantee that tax rules will stay the same in the future.
If you choose an index-tracking trust which invests overseas, exchange rate variations may cause the value of your investment to increase or decrease.
If you unsure what Investment ISA plan is right for you speak to an independent investment adviser.
