Track an index with passive funds

Passive funds invest in companies that make up a particular index, such as the FTSE 100 Index of the largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange or the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, consisting of companies in a range of different countries.

Available through the Fair Investment ISA and Investment Account, passive funds are a lower cost investment option. Management costs are reduced because these funds are designed to track the index they follow, rather than actively selecting companies for investment.
