RAC Recovery

RAC breakdown cover has a range of options for policies, which can include recovery as well as home rescue:

 

  • Roadside Rescue – The RAC’ base package will provide you with roadside assistance and recovery, if needed, to a destination of your choice within 10 miles of the breakdown.

 

  • Recovery – The RAC Recovery package will take you, plus up to 7 passengers and your car to a destination anywhere in mainland UK if your car cannot be repaired at the roadside.

 

  • At Home Rescue – Provides you with assistance for breakdowns that occur at your registered home address or within a quarter of a mile of it.

 

  • Onward Travel – Onward travel could provide you with a courtesy car, overnight accommodation or alternative transport for you and up to 7 passengers, if your vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside so you can continue your journey.

The RAC gives you the option of personal or vehicle cover

 

  • Personal cover – With a personal cover option the policy holder gets breakdown cover for any vehicle that they drive or are a passenger in. You can take out personal cover with the RAC for up to 5 individuals in the same household in one policy.

 

 

  • Vehicle Cover – With vehicle cover you select a vehicle to be covered for breakdowns, so it doesn’t matter who’s driving it when the breakdown occurs. With RAC vehicle cover you can include up to three vehicles under the same policy.
