The double points offer is applicable for the first three months, with customers collecting two points per £1 spent. The card also offers purchase APR of 15.9 per cent, a cash APR of 17.9 per cent and an introductory balance transfer rate of zero per cent for six months.

The points can then be exchanged for retail vouchers equal to £20 per 3,000 points accrued. Vouchers can be redeemed at a variety of high street stores, including Boots, Argos, John Lewis and WHSmiths.

“When Morgan Stanley acquired Goldfish, we set out to reignite interest in the brand and the launch of this credit card offer is the first step,” said Charlotte Hogg, managing director of Morgan Stanley UK.

“The new offer positions Goldfish as a leading reward scheme for those seeking competitive rates partnered with a high-redemption reward offer that can be tangibly exchanged in a number of top retailers.”

Recent research from Morgan Stanley suggests the new offering is likely to be well received with nearly half of all UK cardholders using some form of loyalty scheme attached to their plastic.
