As a result, multi-manager funds can help you to achieve greater diversification and balance than investing in just one fund. There are two main types of multi-manager fund:
- Fund of funds – Invest directly into funds managed by other managers
- Manager of managers funds – Appoint specialist investment managers to look after different parts of your investment portfolio depending on their expertise
