Saga enhances caravan insurance policy

09 May 2005
As Britons gear up for the second May Bank Holiday and the onset of summer, Saga has announced the launch of new breakdown cover to extend its insurance package.

Saga's Motorhome Breakdown Assistance plan, which can either be added to an existing motorhome insurance policy or be taken out separately, offers a number of top-notch features.

Under the plan, drivers and up to five passengers can be taken home, to their destination, or to a garage within ten miles of either of those. Home-Call also provides cover for any accident, breakdown or act of vandalism sustained within a quarter of a mile from the policyholder's home.

"Without the right Motorhome Breakdown cover, even a punctured tyre could leave you stranded and your holiday plans in ruins," said Andrew Goodsell from Saga.

"Having cover will enable you to plan and set out on your holiday with confidence."

Holidays within Europe are also covered under the extended Motorhome Assistance Plus option, providing extra reassurance.
