Aberdeen Asia Pacific & Japan

Select Funds

Fund Overview

There has been a lot of investor interest in the Asia Pacific region and Japan in the last few decades, as the latter became a technological powerhouse and the former began to export its way to prosperity. The Aberdeen Asia Pacific and Japan Fund utilises a strategy of investing in sticks from the region in order to achieve capital growth for its investors.

The fund will usually be fairly concentrated with a portfolio of between 50 and 100 that between them represent what the fund team considers to be the best ideas and business practices from across the region.

What the fund team is looking for are those companies that not only generate a significant amount of cash but also spend it wisely and keep their balance sheets tidy.
