The Barclays Regular Income Bond is designed to bridge the gap between low risk/low return deposits and high income/high risk investments. The Bond is a six year investment where investors receive a regular income. There is a choice of either a monthly or an annual income option.

Online applications are available for the Barclays Regular Income Bond (excluding ISA transfers) for both annual and monthly income options.

This is a structured investment plan.

  • Annual Income Option - 6.00% gross (in arrears) or
  • Monthly Income Option - 0.4875% gross (in arrears)
  • Capital at Risk Investment*
  • Investment Term - 6 Years
  • Minimum Single Investment - £3,600
  • Outside of your individual ISA limit - Up to £500,000
  • Investments in excess of £500,000 are accepted at the discretion of the Plan Managers
  • Within your individual ISA limit - Up to £7,200 for 2009/10 tax year/Up to £10,200 for 2010/11 
    For individuals aged 50 or over on 5th April 2010 the limit is £10,200 for 2009/10
  • ISA Transfer Deadline: 16 April 2010
  • 2009/2010 ISA Deadline: 5 April 2010
  • 2010/2011 ISA Deadline: 30 April 2010
  • Direct InvestmentDeadline: 30 April 2010

*The return of your capital depends on the performance of the FTSE 100 Index and the ability of the counterparty (Barclays Bank Plc) to repay the monies.
