Are you protected against identity fraud?

If you have noticed some unusual activity on your credit or debit cards, or something surprising on your credit report – like a loan application you didn't make, then you could have been a victim of identity fraud. Identity fraud is the fastest-growing crime in the country, but it can be avoided, especially if you can catch the fraudsters early.

If you sign up to Experian Credit Expert service you can have unlimited online access to your credit report – which details things like:

  • the money you have borrowed
  • your repayment history
  • any applications you have made for loans, credit cards or mortgages.

When you sign up to CreditExpert, Experian will send you a weekly alert by text or e-mail if anything significant is registered on your report, like a new search by a lender, or any new applications – that way you can tell, early on, if someone is trying to use your name to get credit.
