Private Medical Insurance

An increasing number of people are turning to private medical insurance in order to get faster care with less hassle and more convenience. Private medical insurance is simply privately funded healthcare which allows you to have treatment, operations and consultations when and where you want them. In taking out private medical insurance, you will generally not be able to get cover for an illness from which you are already suffering (a pre-existing condition). These conditions may become eligible for cover after a certain amount of time, providing you have not received treatment, medication, tests and advice (from your GP or a specialist) over that period for that condition.
