Woodford Patient Capital Trust Offer is now open...

The Trust is aiming to raise £800million through an Offer for Subscription and Placing in order to invest in a diversified portfolio of predominantly UK companies, both quoted and unquoted. The offer will close for online applications at 12 noon on 16th April 2015.

Aims of the Woodford Patient Capital Trust

Neil Woodford is one of the UK’s best known fund managers and his performance whilst at Invesco Perpetual makes him one of the most successful fund managers of recent times. The Woodford Equity Income fund was the first fund launched from his new venture, Woodford Investment Management, and now he is offering investors a new opportunity to consider, in the form of his first investment trust, the Woodford Patient Capital Trust. The Trust is aiming to raise £800m. It will invest in early-stage science and technology-focused companies, some unquoted, as well as some of Britain's largest stock market-listed companies. The trust aims to achieve annual returns of 10% a year.


By aiming to identify the best, untapped growth opportunities, Woodford hopes to deliver exceptional long-term returns. The Woodford Patient Capital Trust is described as: "An investment trust offering an innovative and expertly-managed mix of our high conviction blue-chip ideas, plus greater exposure to early-stage and early-growth companies.
