Ecclesiastical wins Best Ethical Investment Provider

30 September 2009 / by Rebecca Sargent

Ecclesiastical Investment Management has won the Best Ethical Investment Provider award at the 2009 Investment, Life & Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.

The awards were presented to recognise those companies that have consistently offered the “most competitive products, the best levels of service and shown the greatest innovation during the last twelve months.”

Commenting on the ethical investment accolade, Sue Round, head of investments at Ecclesiastical Investment Management said: “We are thrilled to have been named Best Ethical Investment Provider.

“Not only does it reflect the excellent fund performance and high levels of client service we have achieved over the year, but is also real validation of our decision last year to commit to an ethical approach.”

Ecclesiastical launched one of the UK’s first retail ethical funds, its Amity UK Fund, 20 years ago, and the socially responsible Amity range is now made up of four funds, including the Amity International Fund and the Amity Sterling Bond Fund.

Ecclesiastical’s ethical investment policy means that all of the Amity funds seek to invest in a portfolio of companies that make a positive contribution to society and the environment through sustainable and socially responsible practices.
