Nectar announces plans for American Express credit card

08 July 2005

Nectar has announced details of a major marketing campaign to promote its new American Express credit card.

The firm says its Nectar Credit Card will begin in September and be given a multi-million pound push.

Brian Sinclair, client services director of Loyalty – the owner of Nectar – told DM Bulletin that the card was part of the firm’s new strategy after departing from Barclaycard.

He also discussed the firm’s new partnership with American Express, saying that the union would cover two separate products.

One product would be a card designed for individual consumers and the other for business, allowing members to earn four “points” every time £1 is spent.
